Welcome to my home page. I am Sanghyun Park, a professor of Department of Computer Science, Yonsei University in Korea. I received my B.S. and M.S. degrees (computer engineering) from Seoul National University in 1989 and 1991, respectively, under the supervision of Prof. Sukho Lee. Then I received my Ph.D. degree (computer science) from University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2001 under the supervision of Prof. Wesley W. Chu. My thesis title is Indexing Techniques for Similarity Searches in Sequence Databases. My research interest includes database, data mining and bioinformatics, and I am currently supervising the Embedded and Bio Database Lab.
