Lab Introduction

Cyber Security Lab at Yonsei University consists of people genuinely interested in improving the security of modern computer systems. Based on a fundamental understanding of complex modern computer systems (both software and hardware), we investigate various security problems in systems software such as operating system kernels by developing innovative techniques, including but not limited to automated vulnerability scanning techniques, machine-learning-based reverse engineering techniques, vulnerability exploitation techniques, exploit mitigation & prevention techniques. We aim to conduct high-impact research that can impact the academia as well as the industry; the research outcomes are being published at both academic conferences and prestigious hacking conferences such as BlackHat USA. We are collaborating with institutions conducting cutting-edge security research across the globe, including UC Irvine and Oregon State University in USA and KU Leuven in Belgium.
